What is Shoutacast Shoutcast is a very simple solution to broadcasting audio or video across the internet. In fact it is the most stable and solid server solution to stream media across the internet and over the past two decades has become the industry standard for this type of use. Typicllaly Shoutcast is used by professionals and not to mention the 1000s radio enthusiasts around the world primarily to create internet radio although some use it for broadcasting live webcasts and special events. Is it easy to use? Absolutely. Its easy, inexpensive, and does not require any fancy equipment or software. It can be done using completely free apllications such as the SHOUTcast DSP and Winamp. It can also be done using slightly more professional software such as SAM Broadcaster which in fact makes things even easier.
